I was never satisfied with the sharpness of the Dell screen, and this seemed like a goood solution. This monitor is very sharp, wonderful in that aspect. But it is a widescreen format, so you can see large spreads of your work, but the format means you never see the whole original screen ever. You can adjust the size of the frames, of course, but it is annnoying at times, as the mouse can move the frame by accident, and does so quite frequently.It has several inputs–CGI, HDMI, etc., so a positive feature is that you can have two computers running that serve the scame monitor-I haven;t det the second one up yet, but the changing of inputs is very easy on the front panel. If I had to do this again, I’d get a 10880 full-sized large monitor.

I purchased this monitor several months ago to connect via HDMI cable with a new Dell Studio Vista 64 bit laptop computer. I could not get the HDMI connection to work properly with the included HDMI cable so I contacted Acer technical support. They basically told me to just follow the setup instructions that came with the monitor. When I explained that I had used these instructions but was having a problem Acer technical support told me I needed to contact the computer manufacturer. I subsequently purchased a Dell monitor with HDMI connection capability for the new laptop (same price), which works fine with the HDMI connection. Based upon my experience with Acer technical support I would not recommend Acer products.

I ordered one of this last week and am really happy with my product. It’s a cheap and big monitor with almost high resolution. The images, texts are very clear and sharp. I will use it mainly for reading, coding stuffs. Unluckily, I had one dead pixel at the top-middle of the screen and several pixels does not functioning properly. But luckily, the amazon.com will send me a replacement in two days. Thanks to the amazon.com for its fast and convenient shopping, problem solving.

I purchased this on sale elsewhere, although I prefer Amazon. This monitor has a great picture, and the HDMI port is wonderful. I use it as my main computer monitor, as well as a portable screen for my PS3 when visiting my brother on game night. has built in speaks that are not great for everyday use, but get the job done on game night. The native 1920 x 1080 resolution is crisp and clear. I plan to buy a second one to have a matched pair for my computer.
